Poret, Pierce to exchange vows February 20

Sherwood and Wanda Piazza Poret of Mansura are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Danielle Nicole Poret, to Matthew Devane, son of Carl and Blinda Morris Pierce of Baton Rouge. The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Angelo and Patricia Key Piazza of Effie and Folse and Mary Pearl Ducote Poret of Mansura.

Danielle is a 2001 graduate of Avoyelles High School and a 2008 graduate of LSU at Baton Rouge where she received a degree in Graphic Design. She is currently employed with Celtic Media Center.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Walter Devane Pierce and surviving wife Margaret Hunt Pierce of Baton Rouge and the late Doyle and Juanita Calloway Morris of Centerville, Mississippi.

Matt is a 2002 graduate of Woodlawn High School and attended Baton Rouge Community College. He is currently employed in partnership with Pierce Masonry Company in Baton Rouge.

Following the ceremony, the couple will begin their new life in Baton Rouge.
