Carrie Elizabeth Michael of Homer, LA and Christian Evans Bubenzer of Bunkie have announced their marriage which will be held May 1, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ellis Michael of Homer, LA. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carolyn Wasson Thurmon and the late Charles Thurmon, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Michael both of Homer, LA.

Daigle-Ducote exchange vows in Lafayette

Bethany Christina Daigle and Brennon Paul Ducote exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, January 30, 2010, during a candle light ceremony at The Family Church in Lafayette. Pastor Derrick Capello served as officiant.

The bride is the daughter of Byron and Linda Daigle of Lafayette. She is the granddaughter of Clovis and Goldie Daigle and Wilton and Ethel Hebert. Bethany is a graduate from Lafayette Christian Academy and Acadiana School of Cosmetology. She is currently employed with Kristy's Hair Salon and Home Bank.

Jamie Elizabeth Tate, of Carencro and Timothy Paul Johnson, of Ville Platte, will be united in marriage during a 1 p.m. ceremony on January 30, 2010 at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Carencro.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Ronald Dale Tate and Carolyn Clause Tate. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Carol L. Clause of Carencro, and Mrs. Blanche Tate & the late Ray Tate, of Lafayette. She is a graduate of Carencro High School (2002) and Louisiana State University of Eunice. She is employed as a C.S.R. with A-Plus Glass.

Clarence “J.R” and Grace Frappier of Mansura celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on December 21, 2009.

The couple was wed December 21, 1944 in Virginia, and have spent the last 34 years living in Avoyelles on Mansura's LeGlise Street in the turn of the century Joe Mayeux home.

Hill Supports Operation Iraqi Freedom

Air Force Tech. Sgt. Roderick L. Hill has deployed to Southwest Asia to serve in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation Enduring Freedom.

Hill, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning day shift leader, is regularly assigned to the 786th Civil Engineer Squadron, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany. He has served in the military for 12 years.

He is the son of Tonnie L. Hill, grandson of Catherine J. Hill, and nephew of Terrie H. Woods, all of Moreauville. His wife, Simone, is the daughter of Lutricia Feast of Youngsville.
