Avoyelles has first COVID death since Oct. 29

If not for one part of the Tuesday COVID update for Avoyelles Parish, the report could be written off as being a very light holiday-influenced item. However, in addition to only looking at 55 test results with three new cases, the report also included the first additional COVID-related death since Oct. 29.
As of Tuesday, the 20-month totals for Avoyelles were 7,387 cases and 182 deaths. The state totals were 770,894 cases and 14,801 deaths.
