Avoyelles Parish 'pitches perfect game' against COVID -- no cases, no reinfections, no deaths over weekend

If the COVID pandemic was a baseball game, Avoyelles Parish would be credited with a perfect game Monday -- no new csses, no reinfections, no additional deaths.
What makes the feat even more noteworthy is that it was a three-day report, which gave the virus the entire weekend to "score" at least one new case.
The Lousiana Department of Health reviewed 318 COVID tests for Avoyelles Parish since the Friday report was released.
As of Monday, the parish's pandemic totals remained where they were Friday -- 11,569 cases involving 10,772 individuals with 797 reinfections and 206 deaths since March 2020.
