Avoyelles' weekend COVID update: 100 new cases, one death since Friday

Monday-to-Monday totals: 3,643 test results, 389 cases, four deaths
Since last Friday's COVID update, Avoyelles Parish has added 100 new infections and another death to its 17-month totals for COVID-19. The week's totals from Aug. 16 to Aug. 23 were 389 cases and four deaths.
As of Monday, Avoyelles has had 5,980 diagnosed cases of COVID-19 and 139 COVID-related deaths. The state totals on Monday are 660,804 cases and 11,977 deaths.
