Avoyellles weekend COVID update: 10 cases, no deaths, 353 tests

Like the Gulf waters after a storm, COVID's "fourth wave" is still pounding the beach, but it is a mere ripple compared to its former fury.
The three-day weekend report for Avoyelles Parish contained only 10 new cases out of 353 test results reviewed. There were no additional COVID-related deaths in the parish since Friday.
As of Monday, the cumulative totals for the parish since the pandemic began in March 2020 are 6,962 cases and 175 deaths. The statewide totals are 743,631 cases and 14,027 deaths.
