One new COVID case in Avoyelles on Thursday

Avoyelles Parish continued its recent streak of "one or none" in COVID updates from the state health department on Thursday. Of the 337 tests reviewed since Wednesday, only one lab test was positive.

That gave the parish a pandemic total of 11,571 cases involving 10,774 individuals. There have been 797 reinfection cases and 206 deaths since March 2020.
