Wednesday COVID udpate: 449 tests, 44 cases, 3 deaths

The Wednesday COVID numbers for Avoyelles Parish were more "normal" than Tuesday's report was. By "normal" we mean there were 449 test results reviewed instead of just 45. Unfortunately, normal also means there were 44 new cases of COVID instead of 10 and three additional deaths instead of none.
As of Wednesday, Avoyelles' pandemic totals were 6,794 cases and 163 deaths. Statewide totals for the 18-month pandemic were 721,795 cases and 13,318 deaths.
