As of Tuesday noon, the number of cases in Avoyelles Parish has grown to 19, up five from yesterday.

Simmesport has imposed a general curfew in the town from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. as part of its efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus in this area.

The official count of cases of COVID-19 in Avoyelles is now 14.
That is an increase of one from yesterday and is out of 24 Avoyelles residents tested.
The Louisiana State Senate will convene on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
It has been in recess due to the Coronavirus.
