At the state level and in Avoyelles Parish, there were more COVID tests reviewed with fewer positive results in the Friday report from the Louisiana Department of Health.
Statewide there were more COVID tests reviewed with fewer cases identified on Thursday than there were on Wednesday. That was not the case in Avoyelles Parish.
There were five new cases of COVID in Avoyellles Parish in the Wednesday update from the state health department. All were first-time infections. There were no additional deaths.
When the "Delta" wave had ceased its rampage, there were frequent daily reports with very few tests and cases.
