Gov. John Bel Edwards didn't say Louisiana is moving to Phase 3 and he didn't say the state is staying in "Modified Phase 2" in his press conference Thursday (Feb. 25).
Avoyelles Parish had only six new cases of COVID-19 out of 447 test results in Thursday's update from the state health department. The new cases were among 419 molecular tests.
With over 500 test results and a net gain of only two COVID cases on Wednesday, Avoyelles continued a string of very good daily reports.
Any daily update with less than one positive result out of 100 cases is an exceptionally good report. Avoyelles had such an exceptionally good report Tuesday, with one case out of 108 tests.
