District Openers: Marksville wins; Avoyelles, Bunkie lose to districts' top teams

Marksville continued its win streak at home, Avoyelles got burned by a stingy defense and Bunkie found out firsthand what it’s like to be hit by a potential state champion.

Bunkie wins high-scoring nailbiter, Avoyelles dominates foe, Marksville drops third road game of the season

The three football playing high schools in Avoyelles Parish ended their non-district season this past Friday with fan-pleasing scoring fireworks.

Home teams win Week 4 contests with Avoyelles Parish schools

Avoyelles Parish's three football-playing schools will end their non-district schedule this Friday. Week 4 was good for the home teams.
