Avoyelles beats Bunkie; Church Point defeats Marksville
The Avoyelles Mustangs kept their playoff hopes alive in Class 2A by beating the in-parish and District 3-AA rival Bunkie Panthers, 42-7, in a rematch of their Sept. 24 game.
The Marksville Tigers were not so fortunate in their Class 3A playoff game against Church Point, with the Bears winning that rematch -- also of a Sept. 24 regular season game -- 49-6.
