Marksville defeats Bunkie; Avoyelles beats Beau Chene

Marksville continued its decade-long winning streak against Bunkie with a 35-14 victory to retain the "Catskin" banner that symbolizes the two Avoyelles Parish schools' 60-plus-year rivalry.
Avoyelles High won its season opener against Beau Chen in Arnaudville, 36-28.
