Panthers skin Gators, 36-12; Dragons burn Tigers, 9-7 in Friday night games

The Bunkie Panthers got back on the winning path Friday with a 36-12 victory over the Lakeview Gators. The Panthers are 3-1, with their only loss being to rival Avoyelles High. Bunkie had Week 2 off.
The Marksville Tigers came from a 6-0 halftime deficit to take a 7-6 lead over the DeRidder Dragons in the 3rd quarter, only to have victory snatched away by a 4th quarter field goal. The 9-7 loss extends the Tigers' losing streak this season to five.
