Law enforcement agencies respond to disturbance at Bunkie juvenile detention center

A disturbance at the Acadiana Center for Youth juvenile detention facility in Bunkie lasted about 45 minutes Thursday after a female guard was beaten up.

Bunkie Police Chief Scotty Ferguson reported State Police and law enforcement agencies from Avoyelles Parish responded to the center to assist.

Details of the incident have not been released.
