LPB TO PROVIDE LIVE GUBERNATORIAL COVERAGE JANUARY 7

The Legislature has been notified that due the inclement weather expected on Monday, the Governor’s ceremony is being moved to Sunday, January 7th at 4:30 p.m. on the Capitol’s front steps.

The House ceremony will still be Monday, January 8th at 10 a.m.

The inauguration will be broadcast statewide on LPB’s six-station network, as well as WLAE-TV32 in New Orleans and WYES-TV, the PBS station for New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Viewers can also live stream the inauguration at www.lpb.org or with the LPB App.
Kara St. Cyr and Karen LeBlanc, co-anchors of LPB’s Louisiana: The State We’re In, will lead the coverage. They’ll be joined by Barry Erwin, President and CEO of the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL). The team will provide political analysis and share stories about the new governor’s plans for Louisiana over the next four years.
Following his oath of office, the newly sworn governor will present his Inaugural Address.
