Alan Keith Nesbit, Sr., 67 of Marksville, died January 16 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
Alan enlisted in U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic and also served in the Louisiana Army National Guard.
He loved the outdoors and fishing was his passion. Alan never met a stranger that he wouldn't stop to help.
He had the abililty to fix and repair anything.
Survivors include: his partner of 20 years, Lavergne Erhrardt of Marksville; son, Alan Keith Nesbit Jr. (Jennifer) of Marksville; parents, Lemule Rex and Naomi JoAnn Nesbit of Marksville; sister, DeNecia Ikerd (Greg) of Mansura and brother, Rick Nesbit of Hessmer.
A celebration of life with family will be set at a later date.
