Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Pineville, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Wiley, of Deville, born March 21, 1934, passed from this life, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the age of 89, at Oak Haven Community Care Center.

Carrie was a member of Deville Apostolic Church. She was so devoted to her walk with Christ, that she read the Bible 12 times from the beginning to the end. She received the Holy Ghost on August 8, 1980, and served the Lord with all her might.

She never worked outside the home, but she always worked hard to care for her husband and children. Her children and grandchildren were her biggest pride and joy, and she talked about them often. She was kind and generous and her smile could brighten any room.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Linda Schrock (Ron), Rodney Wiley (Nita), Donnie Wiley (Janice), Debbie McKay (David), and Tonya Kessler (Scott); 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, A.C. “Little Bud” Wiley; parents, Raymond Lee and Gracie Roberts Price; brothers, R.L. Price, Jr. and James “Dan” Price; daughter-in-law, Betty Lue Reynolds Wiley, and grandson, Curtis Allen Wiley.

Carrie loved the color red and always got compliments when she wore something that color. For her visitation and service, the family requests that if you have something red, and would like to wear it to honor our Mom, please feel free to do so.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Oak Haven Community Care Center (Red River Bend Hall) in Center Point, for their loving care and compassion for our Mom.
