Cecil Ray Shivor, 87, Marksville

Funeral services for Cecil Ray Shivor will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Marksville Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Tingle officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Cushman Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests visitation be observed at the Marksville Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Shivor, age 87, of Marksville, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Hessmer Nursing Home. He was a US Army Veteran . He had farmed and then retired from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elise Bordelon Shivor; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Shivor; his parents, Cecil and Jessie Williams Shivor and his sister, Ila Hood.
He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Shivor Willis and husband, Darryl, of Mansura; his son, Douglas Shivor and wife, Keisha, of Baton Rouge; his sister, Virginia Pearl Horton and husband, Bob, of Lake Village, AR; his two brothers, Robert Shivor and wife, Elaine, of Calhoun, LA and Roy Shivor and wife, Sarah, of West Monroe, LA; his seven grandchildren Natalie Elise Self, Jon Cornstubble, Nicole Baker, Ashley McNeal, Amelia Grace Shivor, Alex Shivor and Celia Shivor and four great grandchildren.
