Charles David Cammack, age 89, of Effie

DEVILLE - Funeral services for Mr. Charles David Cammack will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Longview Baptist Church in Deville with Reverend Robbie Poole and Reverend Ken Hudson officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Cammack will be at Longview Baptist Church Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service.
Charles David Cammack, age 89, of Effie died Saturday evening April 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and cherished wife of 63 years, Una Lee Cammack. Born on November 2, 1928 in Effie, Charles retired as Sales Manager from Life of Georgia Insurance Company. He served in the National Guard with the Heavy Mortar Company, 156th infantry, 39th Division. Some of his favorite things were hunting, training quail dogs and singing bass with the family anytime, anyplace and anywhere. He was a member of Longview Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Charles will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews who looked forward to him reading the Christmas story from the Bible and sharing old pictures and stories. The family would like to thank Brandy Bordelon and Loraine Seaberry for their help through this time.
What a joyous day! The Cammack boys are reunited and singing in Heaven!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Montillion Ivy and Sottie Hines Cammack; his father and mother-in-law, Harmon and Ferrell Dunn; brothers, Glen Ed Cammack, Woodrow (Joyce) Cammack, Oren Cammack, and Jimmy Cammack; sister, Marjorie Cammack (Wayne) Roszell; and brother-in-law Glen Kelone.
He is survived by his wife, Una Lee Cammack; daughter, Carla Jo Cammack; sons, David (Ganell) Cammack and Brad (Elizabeth) Cammack; grandchildren, Jarrid (fiancé, Cassy) Cammack, Kacie Cammack, Collin (Cheyenne) Cammack, Kerrie Cammack, Taylor Free, Tori Free and Dylan Kennedy; great-grandchild Oaklyn Marie Cammack; and sister Esther Kelone; his Cammack sisters in law and Dunn sisters in law and brother in law; and special loves, Becky and Ernest Belgard and their boys.
Pallbearers will be his Cammack nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Longview Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Longview Baptist Church Youth Group or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
