Dianne Bordelon, 72, Effie

Funeral services for Mrs. Dianne R. Bordelon will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers with Pastor Mike Mayeux officiating. Interment will follow at the Cushman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Bordelon, age 72, of Effie, LA., passed away at Oak Haven Community Care Center in Effie, LA. on Sunday, December 18, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Bessie McCann Ryland; brothers, Vernon Ray Ryland, J.B. Ryland and O.B. Ryland, Sr.; one sister, Dean Smith.

Mrs. Dianne, graduated in 1968 as valedictorian of her class. She attended Louisiana College and also became valedictorian of her nursing class of 1988. Mrs. Bordelon, was the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award. She worked as a nurse at Rapides Medical Center for 21 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Chris Bordelon; one son, Kenny Bordelon (Stephanie) of Effie; one sister, Dale Deloach of Effie; and two grandchildren, Madison Noelle Bordelon and Kaleb Christopher Bordelon.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Jason Nugent, Obie Ryland, Jacob Ryland, Peter Lemoine, Jr., Darrell Wiley and David Bordelon.
