LONE PINE - Funeral services for Gary Rachal will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Melancon Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Griffin Hill Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Melancon Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and resume on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Rachal, age 71, of Lone Pine, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Riverside Hospital in Alexandria from injuries received in an accidental fall at his home. Born on November 5, 1946, he was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was owner of Creative Signs of Pineville. He loved fishing, gardening and a great meal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lucille Lambert Rachal; and his father-in-law, Carl Blood.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna Blood-Rachal of Lone Pine; his daughter, Lika Rachal of Plaquemine; his sister, Susan (Darren) Babineaux of Alexandria; his brother, Randy Rachal of Montgomery; his mother-in-law, Dolores Blood of Lone Pine; and three grandchildren.
