Gilbert Guidroz, 86, Hessmer

Funeral service for Gilbert Guidroz of Hessmer will begin at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. The burial will follow at Lamartiniere Cemetery in Fifth Ward.

Gilbert Guidroz, age 86, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Riviere de Soleil Community Care Center in Mansura.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Clinton (Becky) Guidroz; sisters, Mary Alice Guidroz, Vivian (J.C.) Soileau, & Rita (Gerald) Dupre; 5 grandchildren: Antoinette (Nicky) Ducote, Megan (Josh) Guidroz, Michelle Guidroz, Chad (Danielle) Guidroz, & James (Stephanie) Guidroz, Jr.; 8 great-grandchildren: Hunter Guidroz, Alicia (Tra) Ducote, Austin Ducote, Destiny Guidroz, Connor Guidroz, Payton Guidroz, Weston Ducote, and Zoey Dupuy; daughters-in-law, Margarette Guidroz and Marilyn Guidroz.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoniette Charrier Guidroz; sons, Elias Guidroz, Sr. & James Dale Guidroz, Sr.; parents, Elias Guidroz & Avenire Lavergne Guidroz; grandchildren, Elias Guidroz, Jr. & Drayven Guidroz; siblings, Wilfred Guidroz, Wilson Guidroz, Edmond Guidroz, Edna Credeur, Eleanor Stelly, & Gertie Stelly.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, and will resume at 8:00am until 10:30am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
