Heward “Peanut” Firmin, Jr., 63, Cottonport

Funeral services for Heward “Peanut” Firmin, Jr. of Cottonport will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 beginning at 12:30pm with Rev. William Wright, III officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery #2.

“Peanut”, age 63, passed away at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria on Sunday, April 9th, 2023.

“Peanut” was a dedicated father and grandfather. He loved his daughter Victoria and her 2 sons Gregory and Oliver more than anything in this world. He loved spending time with his family. He would do anything to make them happy. He was a kind soul and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a man of strong faith and loved spreading the word of God. He will be missed beyond measure. Words can not sum up the sorrow that his untimely passing has brought the family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Victoria Michel (Gregory); brother, Ricky Firmin; sister, Sue Ann Moore; grandchildren, Gregory Michel, III and Oliver Michel; the mother of his daughter, Tammy Ducote.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Heward Sr. and Frida Firmin; and sister, Debra Ferguson.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.
