John St. Romain, 90, Marksville

A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. John Elton St. Romain will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville, LA. with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. St. Romain, age 90, of Marksville, LA. passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Avoyelles Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Guillory St. Romain; parents, Morris and Leonie Roy St. Romain; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Mr. John enjoyed being outside in his yard and cutting the grass in his pastime. He was in the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Adult Choir. Occasionally, he enjoyed playing a game of golf to keep up his golfing skills.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Keith St. Romain (Deborah) of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter, Linda Roy of Marksville, LA.; two grandchildren, Alexis Greenbaum of Pineville, LA. and Leslie Doyle (Christopher) of Baton Rouge, LA.; five great grandchildren, Ainsley Greenbaum, Abigail Greenbaum, Alex Greenbaum, Hollis Doyle, and Fletcher Doyle.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA. Visitation will reopen on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services. Recitation of the Holy rosary will be held at 6::30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the Chapel.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Christopher Doyle, Cory Roy, Kyrle Roy, Gaynor St. Romain, Chuck St. Romain, Brent Scallan. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Greenbaum, Hollis Doyle, and Fletcher Doyle.
