Kathy Futrell Deloach, 66, Effie

Memorial services will be celebrated for Mrs. Kathy Futrell Deloach on Thursday, January 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Richey Baptist Church in Effie, with Reverend Grady Dodge and Deacon L.G. Deloach, Jr. officiating. Services are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA.

Kathy Futrell Deloach of Effie, passed into her eternal life on January 22, 2024 at the age of 66. Kathy was born on February 13, 1957 to Henry and Joan Futrell of Colfax. She is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, W.K. Deloach.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Randy Deloach of Effie, LA; children, Michael Deloach (Darlene) of Effie, LA. and Jennifer Deloach Stout of Deville, LA. Kathy doted on her five grandchildren Coralie, Abigail, Lydia, Clara and Kane.

Kathy kept her cabinets stocked with everything and knew exactly where things were located. She fed every stray animal and spoiled her dogs more than her grandchildren. She loved tending to her flowers and could grow anything. She also had a great love for camp life. She had a passion for fishing however, she enjoyed the laughter and memories made with her children, grandchildren, and great friends during “alligator season.”

Through it all, Kathy fully relied on God and trusted in his plan.

Visitation will be held at Richey Baptist Church in Effie, LA. from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
