Kirby Brown, Jr., Echo

Funeral services for Mr. Kirby Joseph Brown, Jr. will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Father Dwight Jesus officiating. Interment will be at St. Francis de Sales Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Brown, age 76, of Echo, LA. passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home with family and loved ones by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kirby, Sr. and Lennie Brown. Sister, Audrey Walker.

Mr. Kirby was employed with Adams Pest Control for 28 years and retired after long years of service. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and being on his tractor while working in the pasture with his cows. In his past time he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.,

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Bernadine Desselle Brown; son, Kevin Brown (Tammy) of Poland, LA.; daughters, Tina Brown (Keith) of Baton Rouge, LA.; Melanie Dauzat (Jody) of Echo, LA.; brothers, Steve Brown (Barbara) of Ball, LA.; sisters, Maxine Reupeter (Randy) of Baton Rouge, LA., Norma Britain of Poland, LA., Helen Hackney (George) of Poland, LA., Evelyn Mullins of Alexandria, LA.; five grandchildren, Kasey Brossett, Joey Brossett, Megan Bernard, Allison Bernard, Kyle Brown; three great grandchildren, Nickolas Brossett, Alyssa Brossett, Shyla Bernard. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July15, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Jody Dauzat, Richard Fountain, Keith Turner, Joey Brossett, Bobby Edwards, and Kyle Brown, Leon Desselle, and Kevin Brown.
