Leona Brouillette Guillot, 94, Marksville

Funeral services for Ms. Leona Brouillette Guillot will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 10, 2021 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Fr. Dan O’Connor officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Hessmer, LA. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Guillot, age 94, of Marksville, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Valley View Nursing Center.

Leona had a contagious personality, a smile and laugh that would light up any room and to know her, was to love her. She was a homemaker and loved to cook, grow flowers, and gardening. She had a green thumb to say the least. She and her husband belonged to two camping clubs one in which was the “Avoyelles Camping Cajuns Club”. They traveled all over from the East Coast to the West Coast, to Yellowstone, Florida, as well as many other places in their little camper, and oh the pictures she took! Loeona was always camera ready and never missed an opportunity at capturing the moment. Leona was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Beatrice (Lacombe) Brouilllette; husband, Julius Paul Guillot, daughter, June Marie Guillot-Pellegrin; grandson, Kennedy (K-John) John Pellegrin II; sister, Viola B. Brouillette; and brother, Woodruff Brouillette.

Those left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter Leanna Rose Crochet of Clifton, LA. Two sisters; Mildred. B Ducote of Moncla, LA and Mary Jeanette Killebrew of Arlington, TX. Kennedy and Diane Pellegrin of Pierre Part, La. along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers.
Pallbearers to serve will be Kennedy Pellegrin of Pierre Part, LA. Jeffery G. Crochet of Clifton, La. Glen Ducote of Moncla, La, David Brouillette of Moncla, La and Kennie Brouillette of Effie, La.
