Lillian Deason, 90, of Hessmer

Services for Lillian Deason will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, in the chapel of Kramer of Fifth Ward with Bro. Keith Lamartiniere officiating. Interment will follow at Lamartiniere Cemetery under the direction of Kramer of Fifth Ward.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021, and resume from 8:30 a.m. until time of service on Monday, December 20, 2021., at the funeral home.

Lillian Deason, 90, of Hessmer passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Hessmer Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, R.H. “Roy” Deason, her son, Johnny Moreau and her 11 siblings.

Lillian, affectionately known by her great grandchildren as Dance-Dance, was born on July 2, 1931, in Belldeau, LA. She raised her children, as well as, raised other children who needed her. She would never turn anyone away who needed a meal or a bed. Lillian loved cooking, tending to her yard work and her flowers. She could sit for hours at a time and never catch a fish and still have a wonderful time. In her later years, Lillian enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching her great grandchildren play in the yard.

She is survived by her children, Edward Jarreau and his wife, Margaret, Wayne Deason and his wife, Peggy, Rickey Deason, and Lisa Wiley and her husband, Kevin, all of Hessmer; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Travis Deason, Rusty Deason, Jason Jarreau, Kyle Deason, Cody Baker and Issac Lemoine. Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Deason Jr, Kayton Brouillette, Ian Deason, Drake LaBorde and Jayden Deason.
