Lloyd Stafford Jolibois, Sr.
PLAUCHEVILLE - Funeral services for Lloyd Stafford Jolibois, Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Visitation will be held at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lloyd Stafford Jolibois, Sr., age 75, a resident of Central Louisiana, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 after a long battle with brain cancer.   Born August 11, 1942 in Cottonport, he was the son of Stafford and Julia Jolibois. After graduating from Morrow High School, he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired as an ironworker and in 2003 started Lloyd's Home Maintenance where he worked until his illness. During the flood of 2016 Lloyd served as a proud member of the Cajun Navy. He most enjoyed helping others, spending time and cooking for his many family and friends, Cajun dancing, participating in the Golden Friends Supper Club and traveling.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, Stafford and Julia Jolibois; son, Lloyd Jolibois, Jr.; grandson, Phillip Abington; brothers, Cedo Jolibois and Euna Jolibois. and sister, Velma Walton.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki; children/stepchildren, Dawn (fiance David Landry) Jolibois and Vicki (Todd) Abington of Central, Wendy (Terry) Wade of Ft. Bliss, Texas, Thomas (Jack) Dawson of Dodge, Texas, Chantelle (Brandon) Alleger of Marionville, Missouri, and Chip (Jill) Lawson of Dodge, Texas; grandchildren: Lauren Abington, Cullen Wade, Brett Wade, Jacob Wade, TJ Dawson, Sarah Dawson, Emily Dawson, Tristan Lawson, Blake Lawson and Grace Ritchey; sisters: Viola Sturges of Baton Rouge, Claudet (Ted) Dupuy of Slaughter, and Judy (Don) Douglas of Watson; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
