Lucinda Aycock, 83, Deville

Funeral services celebrating the life of Lucinda Aycock will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Longview Baptist Church, Deville, with Brother Robby Poole officiating, assisted by Brother Josh Sikes. Burial will follow in Longview Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Alexandria. Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Bruce Aycock, Kevin Aycock, Scott Aycock, Thomas LaCombe, Paul Ray McCann and Ronald Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Cleve Paul.

Lucinda Aycock, 83, of Deville, passed from this life on Thursday, August 18, 2022, in Oak Haven Community Care Center, Center Point.

She was a devoted Christian that loved her church and church family. Lucinda was a member of Longview Baptist Church where she was head of the nursery for over 30 years. She enjoyed visiting and cooking for family and friends in need in her church and community. During her working career she worked in the cafeteria at Buckeye High School, retiring from the Rapides Parish School Board with 32 years of service. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Lucinda was deeply loved, will be sadly missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Her son, Keith Aycock, husband, Malcolm Aycock, and her parents, Mose and Aline Fairburn Davis, precede her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kay Paul; grandchildren, Cleve Paul, Amanda Marcotte (Thomas) and Aimee Moore; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Lexi, Jayden, Rhett and Scarlett, and a host of other family members and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Oak Haven Community Care Center and All Saints Hospice for the love and compassionate care given to our mother.
