Margaret Elaine Ewing
Funeral services for Ms. Margaret Elaine Ewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Esler Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana with the Rev. Mark Breland officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Esler Field Community, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home.
Ms. Ewing, age 80, of Pineville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2016 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Elaine was a native of Jonesville and she was loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family and those that she served during her employment. Elaine retired from Rapides Hospital & Rapides Home Health Agency following 30 years of service as a home health aide and inventory technician. She was a long time member of Esler Baptist Church and her love for the Lord was evident to all that knew her. Elaine's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, camping, gardening, fishing, and attending Blue Grass Festivals with her sisters. Elaine will be dearly missed.
Ms. Ewing is preceded in death by her Husband of 61 years, Eldon Ewing; her son, Eldon DeWayne Ewing, Sr. and her granddaughter, Catina Ewing.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Margaret "Ann" Goudeau (Freddy) of Esler Field, Theresa "Dee Dee" Probus (Tommy) of Pineville; her son, Raymond Bruce Ewing, Sr. (Maxine) of Esler Field; her daughter-in-law, Caresse Ewing of Cottonport; her sisters, Maxine Richie of Manifest, JoAnn Lay of Foley, Alabama, Gail McNeeley of Pineville; her brother, Mike Cockerham of Tallahassee, Florida; 10 grandchildren, Vanessa Lowe (Brian), Ray Ewing, Justin Ewing, Waylon Trahan (Nikkie), Yosha Goudeau (Shaina), Chris Goudeau (Jenny), Alina Fitzgerald (Chris), Elaine Ewing, Debo Ewing (Colinda), Aleshea Probus; 11 great grandchildren, Alexis, Logan, Mallorie, Adaya, Brodie, Morgan, Wyatt, Alan, Austin, Joe and Rebecca.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Yosha Goudeau, Chris Goudeau, Debo Ewing, Alan Robertson, Chris Fitzgerald, Joseph Ewing and Robbie Dauzat. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Ewing, Ray Ewing, Waylon Trahan, Brodie Goudeau, Wyatt Goudeau, Austin Fitzgerald and Logan Lowe.
Visitation will be at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will resume at Esler Baptist Church on Monday, December 11, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
