Mary Virginia “GinGin” Bordelon Normand, 91, Marksville

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Virginia “GinGin” Bordelon Normand will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Pastors Eric Descant and Kyle Couvillion officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph #2 Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Heaven gained an angel on Monday, December 13, 2021 as Ms. Virginia “GinGin” went to her forever home. Mrs. Normand, age 91, of Marksville, passed from this life in her residence in Marksville.
Virginia “GinGin” had a passion for cooking and artistry that combined to make a home that was filled with warmth, love, and laughter. She welcomed, not only her family, but anyone blessed enough to know and be loved by her. Virginia leaves a legacy of demonstrating full, whole, and unselfish love while on this Earth, despite many hardships presented upon her path.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Raymond Normand; daughter, Christina Mayeaux; grandchildren, Joe Elder III, Angela Danielle Smith; parents, Webster J. and Lessie Mayeaux Bordelon.
Those left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Jeffery Normand of Bunkie, Timmy Normand of Marksville; two daughters, Suzanne “Susie” Elder of Marksville, Rosemary Yesso (Don) of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Richard Smith, Chad Elder, Joshua Normand, Jonah Normand, Dylan Yesso; three great-grandchildren, Xerie Smith, McKinnly Elder, Ayden Elder.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Joshua Normand, Richard Smith, Dylan Yesso, Chad Elder, Vince Gallant, Jr., Mike Ducote. Cross bearer will be Jonah Normand.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
