Peter Roy, 92, Ford dealer of Bunkie and Marksville

A Mass of Christian Burial for Peter Roy will be held A Mass of Christian Burial for Peter Roy was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph #1 Mausoleum. Arrangements were under the Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Roy, age 92 of Marksville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 5, 2022.
Mr. Roy is a graduate of Marksville High School and LSU. He served in the U.S. Navy as a fighter pilot during the Korean War. He came home from the service and joined his father and brothers in the automobile business. Peter was the owner and operator of Pete Roy Ford in Bunkie for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by a son, Melvin J. Massicot; a son-in-law, Bill Sentilles; his parents, Lewis P., Jr. and Marie Ducote Roy; brothers, Van Roy and Don Roy; and a sister, Norma Roy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Sylvia Saucier Roy of Marksville; his children, Sammy R. Sentilles of Wichita, KS; Susie R. Juneau and husband Kenneth of Frisco, TX; Dr. Rob Thomas and wife Kellie of Singer, LA; Capt. Daniel Roy, Ret. USN and wife Liz of Rocky Mount, NC, Marie R. Ducote and husband Ray of Bunkie, Pete Roy and wife Kristen of Rocky Mount, NC, and Andrew Roy and wife Kathy of Rocky Mount, NC; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Molly Landaiche and husband Teddy of Baton Rouge. at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph #1 Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
