Peter Troy Kendall, 80, Marksville

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville, LA. with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Entrance to St. Joseph Catholic Church and recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30 am. Entombment will be held at St. Joseph Mausoleum #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Peter Troy Kendall, age 80, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 3, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 11, 1942 in Cologne, Germany and proceeded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Anna Kendall; sibling, Wanda Tilley; niece, Wendy Tilley; nephew, Kenneth Tilley.

Peter is survived by his wife of 54 years, Georgiana Coco Kendall; daughter, Casey (Matthew) of Bunkie, LA.; son Blake; also survived by Matthew’s two sons, Jake and Jude Newton.

After Peter graduated from Vardaman High School in Vardaman, Mississippi, he worked with National Geophysics in Dallas for two years. He then joined the United States Army and was stationed in K-Town, Germany. After serving in the Army, he earned a BS degree in electronics at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. While attending NSU, he met and married his wife Georgiana.

In 1973, they moved to Marksville, LA. and Peter began his small T.V. shop until 1978. In 1978, Peter began his offshore career as an electrician., retired from Transocean Drilling in 2012 and continued his T.V. repair work as a hobby.

Pete’s love for golf endured him to his golfing buddies because the most often phrase said about him was “Pete is so laid-back and easy going.” Everyone knew where Pete could be found by the smell of his pipe which he had with him constantly.
