R.Nell Desselle, 85, Center Point

Funeral services for Mrs. R.Nell Matthews Desselle will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville with Reverend Aubry Tyler officiating. Interment will be at Tyler Cemetery in Center Point. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Desselle, age 85, of Center Point, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Desselle; parents, George Cleveland and Ellen Cole Matthews; sons, Louis Desselle, Dereck Desselle, and Ambrose Desselle; daughter, Larane Desselle Bernard; sister, Delores Ford; brothers, Eldon Matthews, and Boyd Matthews.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Rogers Desselle of Moncla, and Sam Desselle of Oklahoma; daughter, Laverne Earhardt of Spring Bayou; brothers, Aymond Matthews of California, and Tommy Matthews of Center Point; sisters, Helen Ducote of Texas, Nancy LaPrairie of Effie, and Emily Bordelon of Marksville. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.
