BUNKIE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Ruby Jackson on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
A Rosary Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Ms. Jackson, age 101, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Bayou Vista Community Care Center. Born on June 15, 1916, she was a retired beautician and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Ida Jackson; four sisters, Lou Washington, Nellie Rose Brown, Corinne Jacobs and Inez Jones; and five brothers, Horace Jackson, Jr., Albert Jackson, Willis Jackson, James Jackson and Walter Jackson.
She is survived by one sister, Christina Jackson of Moreauville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
