Shaquille Joseph Smoot, 27, Cottonport

Funeral services for Mr. Shaquille Joseph Smoot will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Edward’s Funeral Home in Bunkie Louisiana where Pastor Greg Jackson will officiate. Committal services will follow at The Old Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottonport, LA.
A public viewing will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
Shaquille age 27, born to the parents of Joseph Smoot, Jr. and Tangela Bradford softly fell asleep in the arms of Jesus and departed this life on Friday November 26, 2021. He was affectionately known to his everyone as “Shaq”. He was baptized at the age of 11 at First Evening Star Baptist Church in Cottonport, LA by Pastor Greg Jackson. He accept Christ at an early age which allowed him the knowledge of whom his Lord and Savior was.
Shaquille attend Cottonport Elementary School. He later attended and graduated from The Youth Challenge Program in Minden, LA.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents; Donna Moses and Wilbert Moses; Aunt Linda G. Bradford.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children; two sons, Shaquille Smoot Jr., Jordan Worthy; three daughters, Sha’Zelle Alfred, Gracelyn Heggar, and Armani Worthy; father Joseph Smoot Jr., (Sherri of Cottonport, LA.); mother Tangela Bradford (Joseph) of Cottonport, LA.; paternal grandparents; Joseph Smooth , Sr. and Lucille Murray (Patrick) of Cottonport, LA.; maternal grandfather, Jerome Thompkins of Cottonport, LA.; five sisters, Jalessa Bradford, Quedesa Bradford, Marquesa Smoot, N’Keia Smooth, and Shaquita Smoot all of Cottonport, LA.; one brother, Devon Robinson of Bunkie, LA. A special friend, Tameka Taylor and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
