Stafford Brevelle, Jr. 84, Brouillette

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Brouillette with Father Abraham Palakkaattuchira and Father Jose Pallipurath officiating. Interment will be held in St. Genevieve Cemetery in Brouillette. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA.
Stafford Brevelle, Jr. age 84 passed away Friday October 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Stafford could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. At a young age he was in the Navy reserve when he met the love of his life Faye Gaspard. They married and moved to New Orleans where he worked as a lineman for eight years before moving to Brouillette Community to raise their family of five children and pursue his passion of farming and ranching, which he did for the next 50 + years. When he wasn’t behind the wheel of a tractor, he loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Brevelle is preceded in death by his parents, Stafford Brevelle, Sr. and Clara Brevelle; one son, Guy Brevelle; three sisters, Audrey Lee Duceung, Dean Dupuy, and Ina Mae Gravois.
Those left to cherish his memories his wife of 64 years, Faye Gaspard Brevelle of Brouillette; two sons, Don Brevelle (Janice) of Brouillette, Brent Brevelle (Cynthia) of Brouillette; two daughters, Brenda Laborde (Patrick) of Baton Rouge, Vicki Michel (Ricky) of Cottonport, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday October 11, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and will resume on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 8:00 am until 9:30 am in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville, LA. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 pm Monday evening in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Brad Bordelon, Brandon Bordelon, Donovan Brevelle, Blake Brevelle, Logan Michel, Khale Bordelon, and Khoen Bordelon.
