Terry Bordelon, 68, Marksville

Funeral services for Mr. Terry John Bordelon, Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville, LA. with Deacon Gary Schupbach officiating. Interment will be at Cushman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Bordelon, age 68, of Marksville, LA. passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA.
After high school, he joined the United States Marines and was a Vietnam veteran. Upon his return, he worked for the Louisiana Department of Corrections for many years until his retirement. After retirement, he decided to continue his work in Corrections and went worked for Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office for many years. After leaving Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office, he returned to the Department of Corrections for many more years. His greatest accomplishment was his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence, Sr. and Maudry Ducote Bordelon; brothers, Michael Bordelon and Lawrence Bordelon, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Dauzat Bordelon; sons, Terry Bordelon, Jr. and Donnie Bordelon both of Marksville, LA; daughters, Lita Bordelon of Marksville, LA., Chrisse Losavio of Simmesport, LA., Deranda Bordelon of Lettsworth, LA.; brothers, Darren Bordelon of Marksville, LA., Scotty Bordelon of Hessmer, LA., Andrew Bordelon of Deville, LA.; sisters, Pamela Ducote of Marksville, LA., Rhonda Vitrano of Hessmer, LA. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA. Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services. Recitation of the Holy rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in the Chapel.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Terry Bordelon, III, Adam Bordelon, Jonathon Clark, Matthew Clark, Jason Handley and Salvdore Losavio. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Paulk, Christopher Guillory, Mark Bordelon, and Carson Bordelon.
