Timothy Camile Borrel, age 70, Marksville

A Memorial Service and Inurnment for Mr. Timothy “Lan-Lan” Borrel will be held at a later date.
Mr. Borrel, age 70, of Marksville, departed this life on March 31, 2020 at his residence.
He was a popular house painter who was still practicing his trade up until the day of his death.
He was known for his quick wit and was in demand for his painting services.
Timothy was one of the last fluent French speakers of Avoyelles Parish. His grandparents, Maurice and Anna Borrel, were natives of France who migrated to Avoyelles where her uncle, Rev. J. B Limagne had previously migrated to serve a Catholic priest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Dorothy “Dean” Normand Borrel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Crystal Andrews (Alex) of Inola, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Tisha Matthews; three brothers, Tommy Borrel (Margaret) of Moncla, Pierre Borrel (Jenise) of Marksville, Johnny Borrel (Denise) of Cottonport; host of many nieces, nephews, extended family and an abundance of close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in memory of Timothy and to assist with funeral expenses.
