Verona Hannah, 95, Effie

Funeral services for Mrs. Verona Hannah, of Effie, LA. will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville, LA. with Pastor Mike Wilkinson officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Effie, LA. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Hannah, age 95, of Effie, LA. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was a life long faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Effie, LA. As a strong woman of Faith, she was a prayer warrior for all of those who came into her path. In her earlier years, she was a cafeteria employee at Lafargue School in Effie for 15 years. She always enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Her famous delicious yeast rolls and her gentle smile will always be remembered and never forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hannah; parents, Daniel and Lula Beaver Beauboeuf; sister, Bonnie Lambert; brother, Leon Beauboeuf; great nephew, Brad Bacon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister-n-law, Viola Beauboeuf of Effie, LA; nieces, Rhonda Deloach (Wendell) of Pineville, LA., Deanna McCoy (Mark) of Colfax, LA.; nephews, Daryl Bacon (Pattie) of Zachary, LA., Bruce Bacon (Mary) of Baton Rouge, LA. She also leaves behind a host of numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July27, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville, LA. and will reopen on Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Wendell Deloach, Mark McCoy, Rick Barr, Mark McCoy II, Bruce Bacon, Adam Marks. Honorary pallbearers honored to serve will be Bryan Deloach, Kenny Bordelon, and Ronnie Messick.
