HBCU NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Carl Wilmer Jr., still a Tiger after trading in his Marksville purple and gold for Grambling’s black and gold, holds the Historically Black Colleges and Universities national championship trophy. The G-Men won their 15th HBCU National Championship with a 10-9 defensive contest with North Carolina Central University on Dec. 17. The Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl was held in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.
